T-Minus...oh wait, we leave today!

It’s a good thing I have a lot of meetings this morning to get me through the first half of the day before we leave…otherwise it would feel like an eternity until departure time. As it is, I’m sure the morning will drag…but I’m getting the last of my affairs in order so that I’m not coming back to chaos and equally people aren’t pissed that I didn’t take care of certain things before leaving.
Last night I spent the majority of the evening finishing packing, and got everything to fit in the bags just fine with a little bit of space to spare. I even went to the liquor store and picked up a bottle of scotch so Bob and I could have a drink or two in memory of our late Aunt Doofie (Ruth). Thanks to her generous inheritance gift I opted to go for something a little better than Passport Scotch, which would have been her go-to…so cheers to my Aunt Doofie.
From what I can see, it’s going to be a hot one today. The forecast calls for it to be 93F when we leave Denver, and 96F when we get into Grand Junction…so we’re going to try not to melt. Hopefully they have a pool we can sit in when we get to town, otherwise it’s going to be weird with two grown ass men who are cousins sitting in a bathtub together… which has never happened before…
